Dean Allen Jones, of Hartford, worked at STRIVE (Success Through Responsibility, Initiative, Vision, and Education) High School in West Hartford, police said.
School leaders contacted West Hartford police on Jan. 16 to report Jones had allegedly inappropriately touched two students, authorities said.
After an investigation, police said Jones not only touched the children but also sent one of them sexual text messages, authorities said.
Officers arrested him on Friday, March 7, and charged him with two counts of sexual assault and one count of enticing a minor online, West Hartford police said.
He was released after posting a $125,000 bond, authorities said.
